To Fr. Michel's family and fellow friars,

Praying for God's love, peace, and comfort for you at this time.

There are some who come along in one's life who are not to be forgotten. Fr. Michel was one of these.

May you find solace knowing that his legacy will be long-lasting in those who he encouraged and in the hearts that were changed by his love.

Many blessings.

I remeber Fr. Michel as a jovial and loving priest. He did not have long sermons, he had meaningful sermons. There was a sense of calm about him, that put me at ease. I can still remeber his last service with the communtiy prior to Fr. Peter taking over and I remember saying to my wife I hope Fr. Peter is as good as Fr. Mike says he is. Fr. Mike was right, Fr. Peter is very good, but I could never forget about Fr. Michel. God give him rest he earned it.

To the Gagnon Family:
Thank you for sharing your Uncle Jack with us. He was truly an incredible man. Fr Michel touched my family deeply and will forever be in our hearts. His vision, love and compassion were immeasurable. Over the last twenty years, Fr Michel shared our deepest pain and our greatest joys and guided us through our journey in life. He will be extremely missed. Our journey continues with his love in our hearts.

To Father Michel's family and fellow brothers,

This was a truly incredible man whose life was touched by the hand of God. He did so much for our Parish and the community, yet that pales in comparison to what he did for all of us personally.

He brought my husband to the Lord. He answered all of Roy's questions by pointing out the answers in the Bible. My husband would never have become a Catholic if it had not been for Father Michel.

He also came to Children's Hospital the night Kelli was diagnosed with t-cell leukemia with a massive malignant tumor in her chest. He prayed for her, then took us all just outside her door, joined hands, and prayed again. Three days later, the largest tumor was gone. They said it "mysteriously" disappeared. No, it wasn't mysterious, it was the hand of our Lord and Savior reaching through Father Michel with a healing. He had a gift in that way.

He was a feisty, amazing, and truly blessed Franciscan Friar. Our family cannot think of anyone else more worthy of standing with Christ in heaven. We all lost a hard-working, dedicated man, but God has received a special angel, who will watch over us forever.

God's blessings to your family and your Brothers.

Roy and Patti Wiley and family.

Father Michel gave a wonderful eulogy at my father's funer a few months ago. He was not only a wonderful community leader, but a great friend to my parents, Peg & Dick Kayser. He will be missed by all. I hope he gets his crystal chapel and looks down on us with his blessings. Kathy Kayser Winkler

On behalf on Fr Michel's Family we thank you all for your love, thoughts, and prayers. The coming week will not be an easy one for many. It brings comfort knowing how many lives he touched and how truly loved he was and how he will continue on in many ways. Thank you all, and as he would say "God Love".

I mentioned to Father Michel after a 10:00 o’clock mass in 1995 that my mother, a non-practicing Mormon, was near death in a near by nursing home.
He said he would visit her immediately. Liz & I went home to change clothes and have lunch. Shortly after we went to visit my mom and we noticed that Father Michel had left his card there on the table. When we returned home we received a phone call from the nursing home that my mother had died. It’s as if she was waiting for us after Father Michel’s visit to go to the Lord. Later I found out from a close friend of Father Michel that he had baptized her and gave her the last rites. Father Michel will forever be in my heart with love and fond memories.

A haiku for Fr. Michel:

Big smile.
Laughing eyes that welcome.
Well done,
Good and faithful servant!
Welcome home.

I am happy to have known Fr. Michel and was privileged to travel to Europe with him and members of his family in 2005. I will always remember his excitement and enthusiasm as we visited all over Europe and especially the family's ancestral homeland in France. I have happy memories of that time.I know that he will be missed by many people and extend my sympathies to the family.

Father Michel made my spiritual journey so wonderful! After a year spent in contemplation on just how to make a "whole life" confession; Father Michel helped me to feel blessed by God and comfortable to actual return to the fold of The Church. I wished I had kept in touch with him. He was a nice man. I have faith to know; I will see him again, one fine day!

Love in Jesus...Cecile

Just how many still think of and remember my uncle. I do, daily, when I put the risen Christ around my neck. I hope he is still thought of, especially by the Bickford's. Please do not forget '"God Love"'.
